Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas Review
When I am visiting theme parks, I typically like to stay onsite. However, in this Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas Review, I will share a few reasons why you might not want to stay onsite at a theme park.
If you’re looking for a larger place to stay in Orlando near the theme parks, you might consider Marriott’s Cypress Harbour Villas. Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas have a great combination of amenities, size, proximity to theme parks, and value. Plus, there are no resort or parking fees!
You can get the amenities and space of a vacation rental, but the quality and service that you’d expect from a Marriott property.
Do I need a rental car in Orlando?
I like to get around as needed while on vacation, so I want to rent a car. I recommend renting a car from Discount USA Car Rental. They offer the best rates available whether you’re flying into Orlando or Sanford.
If you plan to stay somewhere like the villas, you’ll definitely need a car to get to the parks, grocery stores, etc.
Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas Review and Tour
If you’re here on Florida Travel With Kids, you probably know that we visit Orlando a lot. In fact, we’re annual pass holders at Universal Orlando!
When visiting Disney or Universal, I generally recommend staying onsite.
That said, there are a few reasons why you might want to choose something offsite, such as:
- You have a large family or group of travelers. Most typical rooms at Universal or Disney have a maximum number of 4 guests. Suites and villas come at a premium and aren’t always available. As a family of 5, we know how hard it is to navigate theme park hotels with a family of 5!
- Your family has allergies or a special diet and needs a full kitchen.
- You are on a budget and want to save money by staying off-property.
- You want to visit both Disney and Universal and stay right in between.
If any of the above apply to you, Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas might be the place for you!
I have plenty of photos of the Villas, but let’s go over a few FAQs first.
Where is Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas?
Cypress Harbour is located off Harbour Villa Road, very close to I-4. It is about 5 miles from either Disney or Universal Orlando.
We visited both Universal Orlando Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios during our recent stay at Cypress Harbor Villas. Both were about a 10-15 minutes drive depending on traffic. SeaWorld is also right next door.
Is Cypress Harbour Villas a timeshare?
The villas are part of Marriott’s Vacation Club, but you can book them just like any other hotel room. If you’re paying for a villa, you won’t have to worry about timeshare presentations or anything like that!
It’s the “free” stuff that gets you when it comes to timeshares. 😉 You won’t have any problem. You can book the villas just like any other hotel or resort.
How much does Cypress Harbour Villas cost?
The villas start at a very affordable $180 per night. Considering that some of the basic rooms at theme parks are that much – or more – this is a great deal. You can check the pricing for your dates on Expedia here.
How many people can stay at Cypress Harbour Villas?
I couldn’t find a clear answer, but I believe it’s 8. The villas have one king bed in a bedroom, one queen bed in a bedroom, one sofa bed in the living room, and two other sofas.
How big are Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas?
The Cypress Harbour Villas are over 1200 square feet, so they are quite large!
Tour of Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas
Since pictures are worth 1000 words, I’ll share some of the photos and discuss the property below.
The outside of building 69. This was the building where we stayed at the very far end of the property. It was a hassle to get back here, but we figured it out after the first day.
The resort offers walking paths to the pools, so it is more straightforward to navigate by foot than by car.
The view from the entry door at Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas. Yes, we always take our shoes off at the door!
A laundry room is located to the right of the entryway. The washer and dryer are full-sized.
A full kitchen contains everything you need to make all of your meals. This is the perfect option for any family with food allergies.
I also have blog posts about eating vegan (dairy-free, egg-free) at Universal and eating gluten-free at Universal if either of those would be helpful.
The view of the kitchen from the living room. The barstools provide extra seating.
Second bedroom
If you turn left after the entry, you will go into the guest bedroom and find a queen bed.
You’ll also find a closet, sofa, TV, and dresser in the guest bedroom.
The second bathroom. It’s larger than it looks but oddly shaped.
Barstools in the kitchen and a small desk area in the living room.
A large dining table plus the barstools offer plenty of seating for everyone.
A view into the living room and TV area.
You’ll find a screened area with more seating if you walk out the door.
Main bedroom at Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas
The main bedroom. Unfortunately, I didn’t take these earlier, so this is the day we checked out. It looks much nicer when you check in. 🙂
The main bedroom has a huge jacuzzi tub and a separate shower and toilet area.
Double sinks and lots of storage space in the main bathroom.
Thanks for coming on this tour with me!
We did not have time to enjoy most of the amenities, but the sunset is over one of the resort’s three pool areas.
Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas Review
If you’re planning an Orlando vacation and looking for some room to spread out, I would recommend Cypress Harbour Villas.
Although I believe there are many benefits to staying onsite at a Disney or Universal resort, this is a good alternative for those who want more space.

Where to buy tickets for Orlando Theme Parks
I highly recommend buying your tickets through Undercover Tourist. There are a lot of really scammy sites out there, so make sure you’re booking through an approved partner (like Undercover Tourist) or an approved Travel Agent.
You can also check prices at all the Universal resorts on Expedia:
- Hard Rock Hotel
- Loews Portofino Bay
- Loews Royal Pacific
- Aventura Hotel
- Loews Sapphire Falls Resort
- Cabana Bay Beach Resort
- Universal Endless Summer Resorts – Dockside Inn and Suites and Seaside Inn and Suites.
Don’t forget that Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay, and Loews Royal Pacific include Free Express Passes for your party! Staying at a premier resort can be very worth it if you’re visiting Orlando during a busy time such as summer, Christmas, etc.
