A complete list of water rides at Universal Orlando
Are you looking for a list of water rides at Universal Orlando? You’re in luck because that’s what we’re doing to share with you today! Universal Orlando is known for thrilling roller coasters and family-friendly screen-based rides, but you’ll find a few water rides at Universal Orlando too!
Fun fact: Did you know that all of the Universal Orlando water rides are in Islands of Adventure? That’s right! There are no water rides at Universal Studios or Epic Universe!
That said, starting this list of water rides at Universal Orlando without mentioning Volcano Bay wouldn’t be fair. Since Volcano Bay is a water park, ALL the rides are water rides and are not mentioned here. However, we have a full guide to Universal’s Volcano Bay, so check that out when you’re done here!
Before we get started, let me introduce myself. My name is Amy, and I’m a Universal Travel Agent, a travel blogger, a Florida resident, and a long-time Universal Annual Passholder.

What are the water rides at Universal Orlando?
So, let’s get to this list of water rides at Universal Orlando! There are only three true water rides at Universal Orlando, and we’ll start with the rides where you’ll get the least wet, to the most.
I also threw in a bonus at the bottom because it’s a fun kids ride where you can get pretty soaked if you’re not careful!

Water rides at Islands of Adventure
Here are the three main water rides in Islands of Adventure, plus a bonus!
If you want to stay dry, make sure to bring some ponchos. Just keep in mind that they may not help on Popeye’s and Bluto’s. Please don’t ask me how I know!
Jurassic Park River Adventure Ride
This is a thrilling water ride that starts calm and then takes a turn! You’ll begin with a nice little adventure with friendly dinosaurs and end up in the restricted area! There’s an 85-foot drop at the end, so be prepared with any young kids. Anyone who is too small or scared to ride can watch from Thunder Falls (one of the best places to eat at Universal) and even get a little splash.
Location: Jurassic Park
Height Requirements: 42″
Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls
This is the most thrilling of the three water rides at Islands of Adventure. You won’t get as soaked as Popeye’s and Bluto’s, but depending on your seating, you might get pretty wet. This is your standard theme park “drop” ride with the biggest drop being 75 feet.
Location: Toon Lagoon
Height Requirements: 44 inches
Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges
Of all the water rides at Universal Orlando, Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges is where you’ll get soaked. Don’t think a poncho will save you here, it won’t! Make sure to put anything that needs to stay dry in the bin in the middle! There are water canons on “The Olive,” and even if you manage to stay dry on the ride itself, it’s likely that over guests will get you with these canons!
Location: Toon Lagoon
Height Requirements: 42″
Bonus: One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
Also located in Islands of Adventure, you’ll find One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish in Suess Landing. While it’s not technically one of the water rides at Universal Orlando, you will get very wet on this ride if you’re not careful! However, I have a pro tip for you! Listen to the song and follow the directions carefully if you want to stay dry.
Location: Suess Landing
Height Requirements: None
Motion Sickness Warning: No
Bonus: The Water Taxi
Okay, the Water taxis at Universal aren’t really a water ride because you won’t get wet, but they are on the water! The water taxis go between Universal’s Signature Resorts and CityWalk.
However, you don’t have to be a guest at Universal Resort to ride the water taxi! If you’re staying at a Universal hotel (other than Dockside and Surfside) you can pool hop to any of the resort pools. You can also ride the water taxi to dine, shop, or just check out the Signature Resorts! To learn more, check out: Which Universal Hotels have the water taxi?
