The Visa Cardholder Lounge at Universal Studios

Visa Cardholder Lounge at Universal Studios

What is the Visa Cardholder Lounge at Universal Studios? If you’ve been by Guest Services at Universal Studios and seen the blue-and-yellow awning, you may wonder what it is.

This indoor space is reserved for Universal Visa cardholders and is a nice, quiet place to get away from the crowds in the A/C. Today, we will discuss everything you need to know about the Visa Cardholder Lounge, officially named “The Visa Everywhere Lounge.”

Before we get started, let me introduce myself. My name is Amy, and I’m a Universal Travel Agent, a travel blogger, and a long-time Universal Annual Passholder. Contact me for more information. I’d love to help you book your Universal Orlando vacation!

If you’re flying into Orlando for your vacation, I recommend renting a car from Discount USA Car Rental. They offer the absolute best rates on rental cars; you don’t pay until you pick it up, and cancellation is free.

Unlike Disney, Universal doesn’t have many “exclusive” areas of the park, but there is one in particular that we will talk about today. This is the Visa Cardholder Lounge, also known as The Visa Everywhere Lounge.

So, how does one get access to this lounge? It’s actually pretty simple! You need a Universal Visa Signature Card. This card comes with a yearly fee, and you do not get lounge access with the standard (free) Universal Rewards Visa Signature Card.

If you are going to sign up for the card, don’t do it without some kind of bonus! You’ll often see Team Members offering incentives such as free Express Passes, gift cards, and other incentives to open an account.

Is the Universal Signature Card worth it?

For us, it is! There is a $99 annual fee, but if you spend $6000 on the card, you get a free ticket every year. While we are annual passholders, we can use this ticket for guests. My pass has a 10% discount, but since the rest of my family does not get that discount, we also love the 10% discount offered for cardholders.

The lounge is also a nice perk, since it’s much quieter than most parts of the park. It’s a great spot for us to go with the baby when we need some downtime. You can compare the two cards here to see if it’s worth it for you. (NOT an affiliate link-we are actual cardholders).

There are a few cards to choose from, but we had to choose Jurassic World!

Where is the Visa Cardholder Lounge at Universal Studios?

You’ll find the Visa Cardholder lounge to the right of the entrance to Universal Studios. It’s very close to Guest Services, the lockers, and the small First Aid station.

The lounge is generally open from 12 PM to 5 PM, and is exclusively for Visa Signature Cardholders.

What is in the Visa Signature Cardholder Lounge?

The Visa Signature Cardholder lounge at Universal Studios has plenty of seating. It’s a great way to get out of the heat. There are also complimentary snacks. Bottles of water, chips, and cookies are available.

You will also see some tributes to former rides at attractions if you look at the decor around the lounge!

There is a large and very clean family restroom. This is honestly one of the nicest restrooms in the parks!

Does this lounge replace the Annual Passholder Lounge?

No! The Visa Cardholder Lounge is entirely separate. The Annual Passholder Lounge is still available in Toon Lagoon, in Islands of Adventure. If you’re an annual passholder and Visa cardholder (like us) you can access both.

I hope this helped explain the Visa Cardholder Lounge at Universal Studios. Is it worth it to get the Visa card that gets you access at the cardholder lounge? We think so!
