Harry Potter Breakfast at Universal Orlando (How to Pre-Book the Leaky Cauldron Breakfast)
So you know about the Harry Potter Breakfast at Universal Orlando, but how do you book it?
Can you reserve breakfast in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter? Not a regular one. The Leaky Cauldron, Three Broomsticks, and Café L’air De La Sirène don’t take reservations, but you can pre-book breakfast by adding it to any Universal vacation package.
Breakfast includes a drink (yes, Butterbeer counts), and you pay for it before you go.
Before we get started, let me introduce myself. My name is Amy, and I’m a Universal Travel Agent, a long-time Universal Annual Passholder, and a big Universal fan. I’m also a huge Harry Potter fan; I even have a Deathly Hallows tattoo! I can book these breakfasts for you.Â
Contact me if you want to add the Harry Potter breakfast to your Universal Orlando vacation. I’ll take care of it for you.

Can you make breakfast reservations in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?
No, not on your own. All of the Wizarding World restaurants are walk-up or mobile order only. You can’t book a table on the Universal app like you can at some other Universal restaurants.
The only way to pre-book breakfast is to add it to a Universal vacation package, and you can add it to any package. This is one where a Universal Travel Agent comes in handy.
Here’s what you get:
- Breakfast entrée at the restaurant
- A non-alcoholic drink, including Butterbeer
- Breakfast paid for before your trip
The Leaky Cauldron breakfast (the best one)
The Leaky Cauldron is in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, and it’s my pick of the three because hello, it’s Diagon Alley!

This is my sister’s pancake meal + Butterbeer.
How the breakfast works
Breakfast is from 9:00 to 10:30 am. If the park is already open, just walk in to the Leaky Cauldron. If the park isn’t open yet, there’s a separate breakfast area for breakfast guests. Bring your park ticket and your breakfast voucher. You can pick up both at your Universal hotel or at the park entrance.Â
After breakfast, you’re already in Diagon Alley. Head straight to Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.

What’s on the Leaky Cauldron breakfast menu?
The Leaky Cauldron breakfast menu can vary but generally includes:
- Traditional Breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage links, black pudding, English bacon, baked beans, grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms, and breakfast potatoes
- American Breakfast: scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, and sausage with a butter croissant
- Pancake Breakfast: three buttermilk pancakes with bacon and sausage
- Kids’ meals: Traditional, Pancake, or American breakfast
Menus change, so check the Universal app before you go.
Since I have Celiac disease and am gluten-free, a chef came out and spoke to me. They have gluten-free pancakes, along with things like eggs, meat, and potatoes that can all be made gluten-free.
Drinks are included (yes, Butterbeer)
Every pre-booked breakfast comes with a non-alcoholic drink, and Butterbeer counts. You can also choose pumpkin juice, coffee, tea, milk, or juice.
Butterbeer at 9 am? On vacation? Absolutely.Â

Three Broomsticks breakfast
Three Broomsticks is in Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure. The breakfast is hearty and British, with options like a traditional English breakfast, pancakes with bacon, and porridge with fruit.
It’s a cozy spot with high ceilings and big wooden tables, and it’s a nice way to start a day in Hogsmeade.
Café L’air De La Sirène breakfast at Epic Universe
Café L’air De La Sirène is the French café in the Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe. The breakfast is completely different from the other two: quiche Lorraine, croissant sandwiches, and sweet and savory crêpes, including a Butterbeer crêpe.
It’s the smallest and newest of the three, and it’s a pretty one. If you’re staying at a Universal hotel with Early Park Admission to Epic Universe, this is an easy breakfast to fit into an early morning in the Wizarding World.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Vacation Package
If you want breakfast at all three, Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter Vacation Package currently includes one breakfast per person at the Leaky Cauldron, Three Broomsticks, and Café L’air De La Sirène.
The package also includes:
- Hotel stay at a Universal Orlando hotel
- Park-to-park tickets
- Early Park Admission
- Florean Fortescue’s ice cream flight
- A photo session at Shutterbutton’s
Contact me, and I’ll price out the package for your dates with this package or any other package you’re interested in.Â

Is the Harry Potter breakfast worth it?
For Harry Potter fans, yes. Here’s why:
- Booked ahead: breakfast is paid for, so it’s one less thing to plan.Â
- Location: you’re in Diagon Alley, right next to Gringotts
- No line for breakfast: walk-up breakfast lines at the Leaky Cauldron can get long.
- A drink is included: including Butterbeer
If you’re not big Harry Potter fans, or your family doesn’t eat much in the morning, you can skip it and grab breakfast at your hotel.
Gluten-free Harry Potter breakfast
I have celiac disease, so I always check this. The Leaky Cauldron has the usual meat and egg options plus gluten-free pancakes at breakfast. I thought the pancakes were pretty good!
At Café L’air De La Sirène, ask a Team Member, since some items have gluten-free versions even though the menu doesn’t show them.

Tips for the Harry Potter breakfast
- Check park hours. If the park isn’t open yet, look for the separate breakfast area
- Don’t sleep in. Breakfast ends at 10:30 am
- Book ahead. Spots are limited, so add it when you book your trip
- Bring your wand. Buy an interactive wand ahead of time (see 7 things to buy BEFORE going to the Wizarding World) and use it in Diagon Alley after breakfast
- Ride Gringotts next. It’s right there in Diagon Alley
- Skip the walk-up line. Without a pre-booked breakfast, use mobile order in the Universal app
